No one to talk to!    None of Branson's staff appear to know anything about the Virgin Earth Challenge and fob off potential inventor challengers by saying, "could you please write in".

Scientists are not Inventors, Engineers nor Problem Solvers
Someone ought to point out to Sir Richard and Tony Blair that:-
Scientists can alert  us; Scientists are not engineers, nor inventors, do not and cannot solve earth's problems.

Sir Richard stated on TV that he expects "scientists" to solve problem; citing as analogies the "Longitude Prize" and  "Blue Riband Prize" for  fastest trans-atlantic crossing - both these challenges were solved and won by engineer inventors, and not by scientists.

Most Cabinet Ministers make the same naive mistake -  lashing out billions of tax payers money to scientists and universities. Their response gobbledegook reports emphasizing the crisis - but still no solution.
Invention Statistics carried out by the Institute of Inventors show:-
Ph. Ds file less than 0.1% of all Patented Inventions. Corporations - 4%, Women Inventors - 5%, Men  Inventors - 91%. 
Women Inventors are 50 times better than Scientists,  Private Inventors are 900 times better than the Scientists.

Why can't Sir Richard (offering a $25 million prize) afford a single normal person to talk to us Inventors to discuss whether our proposals warrant consideration by his "Judges".

Judges - who are they? and are they suitably qualified?
Virgin Judges comprise:-  1 Politician – ex VP USA,  4 Scientists, and  1  Entrepreneur - Sir Richard.

Sir Richard has pre-judged the challenge anticipating a chemical solution that will mop up Carbon Dioxide from the Earth's Atmosphere - like Organic Plants already do and have done for millions of years. KIS = Keep It Simple. Common Sense dictates:-
Remove & replace billions of the CO₂ producing Gasolene engines, Diesel engines, Turbojet engines and Power Stations with Gigadron prime movers and Gigadron Jets and you've got the solution.
If Sir Richard & Al Gore are serious that "a solution is needed of the utmost urgency to save the Earth" he and Al should get off their demigod horse, phone us, question us, meet us, see and examine Gigadron Hardware at first hand and when convinced beyond any shadow of doubt that this is the fastest way forward, then support us. Virgin's Earth Challenge - Not Recommended The Institute of Inventors do not recommend Inventors to enter Virgin's Earth Challenge Competition as the "Participation Rules" are a breach of  Privacy, Personal Security, and could  jeopardise IP Rights. Impressions to date by promoters' conduct do not convey that their motives are altruistic and genuine.
